Re-Arch
Revisiting Your Architecture
Commercial
Residential
The places we live and work shape our lives and often, they need an update to keep up! By revisiting the architecture of your home or business we can ensure you have the tools and space you need to prosper. Re-Arch projects are typically designs for renovations and additions. Our process for these projects focuses on studying what is existing, understand your needs, identifying challenges, and drawing solutions [the drawing is the fun part]. Sometimes solutions are simple and apparent, sometimes something more refined will emerge. For Re-Arch projects we:
Start with a phone call.
Meet at your site, talk about your project, and propose a solution.
Plan a few fun, but important meetings.
Help you to visualize options and make informed decisions.
Give you an understanding and control of your project.
Deliver drawings to use for communication, construction, and permitting.
Selective Practice
Unique Projects, Thoughtful Architecture
We're proud to be a small practice, offer personal attention, and fully invest in our clients. To maintain a personal level of service we are selective about our commitments to new construction and new clients. We aim to help growing organizations design efficient buildings for happy, healthy people. With every project we address our responsibility to improve our environments and the tools we use to create them. Projects best fit for selective practice:
Driven by a collaboration.
Partner with builders, developers, and owners.
Local to Western North Carolina.
Engage design and construction.
Contribute to our community, culture and landscape.
Informed by sustainability, innovation, and craft.

Principal Architect
I am a registered architect and for more than a decade I have been working in residential and commercial design and construction. My perspective is shaped by my experiences leading design teams and managing construction projects. When I'm designing my focus is on solving your problems, improving your spaces, and proposing buildable solutions. I'm passionate about buildings and the landscape and am excited to design buildings that focus on our unique ways of living. I'm always excited to talk about:
Mountains in the sun and snow.
Building, woodworking, and tools.
Rock and Roll Music.
Teaching architecture studios at Appalachian State University.
My Alma Maters, Appalachian State University and The University of Cincinnati.
